I made some rice heat packs on Friday. I made both the long skinny ones (because that is the shape I like best) and the squarish ones with the chanels like you showed. I used dropcloth fabric, and it worked perfectly! I will be making some pretty covers to complete the gifts. I think my husband will be taking one set for his work gift exchange. Suzanne, I think the peppermint sticks may look deceivingly large in the photo. They are about 4&quot; tall and 1/2&quot; thick. They are Bob&#39;s Sweet Stripes, and I found them at Walmart. Dollar Tree has the really big ones that are about 12&quot; long and 1&quot; thick.
